Recipe of the week

Ingredients:

Flour

Salt

Pepper

Venison steaks or pork chops

Olive oil 

3 shallots

1 garlic clove

Chopped mushrooms

1 tbsp tomato paste

Half a cup red wine

Half a cup of chicken stock

 

Method:

Mix the flour salt and pepper in a dish. Dredge the meat in the seasoned flour. Heat the oil in frying pan and cook meat for 2 minutes each side and then transfer to a plate and keep warm.

Fry the shallots and garlic for 1 minute. Add mushrooms and saute for 3 minutes. Stir in the tomato paste. Add the wine and chicken stock and raise heat and cook for 1 minute. Return the meat to the pan and simmer until heated through about 1 minute.

Serve with green vegetables.
